As a vegetable, leeks are close relatives of other vegetables which are respectively onions, garlic and shallots but are characterized by their great sweetness. These are foods that are considered perfect for pairing with other foods of the kitchen which are respectively butter, cream, sausages and tasty cured meats, such as the smoked ham of our recipe, bacon, sausage and speck.
