SO! Now is the time to see if any of my new improvements from May actually made a difference in how well my site performed…
Let me just summarize the changes I made first-
- I posted on How to Create a Blog and Blogging Tips and Resources. Both of which display affiliate links for various programs like HostGator.
- I took these posts and advertised their content with buttons on my sidebar, as well as gave them a place in my drop down navbar under resources.
- Knixed FoodieBlogroll advertising and put an Adsense ad in the “above the fold” slot on the top righthand corner of my sidebar.
Pretty sure that was all, ha. I felt like I accomplished more than that for some reason… guess not.
I’m still pleased though. My site performed much better financially this month than last. Check it out-
HostGator Affiliate Links: $150
Adsense: $313.92
Amazon: $1.58
Total: $465.50
For the Month of May I had only made $176.42 with Adsense. I’d say that I am improving. Although it’s funny because when I looked at Google Analytics to see how my traffic did, I didn’t see much difference. I think the increase is simply from changing its location.
This was for the month of June. I guess there was a stead increase there for a while.
But don’t ask me what happened that last day in June, haha. I have no clue. Must have been something serious on my part.
And this was what my site saw for traffic in May. Pretty darn similar to June. Except it didn’t fall of the face of the earth on that last day.
Next month I plan on making some BIG changes. Including a move to a different site. It’s too bad too, since I am finally starting to get some actually traffic on this site. Oh well. I’ll let you know how July goes next month!
