HOW TO MAKE BAKED BEANS
Just a few easy steps and you are in baked bean bliss! To make this simple recipe you will want to do the following:
First, start by slicing 10 pieces of bacon into bite sized pieces. Cook these in a frying pan until just crisp. Remove the bacon and all but one teaspoon of bacon grease from the pan.
Add the green pepper and diced onion to the hot pan. Cook until the onion is translucent and the pepper is tender. Remove pan from the heat. Put the cooked bacon, peppers and onions in a large mixing bowl.
Add 2 cans of pork and beans, molasses, Worcestershire, brown sugar and spices. Stir with a wooden spoon until well blended.
Transfer beans to a 9X13 inch baking dish. Bake uncovered in 375ºF oven for one hour.

- 2 32 oz cans of pork and beans
- 10 slices bacon, sliced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 2 tbsp molasses
- 4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 6 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- dash of black pepper
