Honey butter is the simple combination of butter and honey. It’s used as a sweet spread for eating rolls and biscuits. We’re sharing a fabulous variation here with our Raspberry Honey Butter. The fruity flavor of the jam and the subtle vanilla flavor make this variation on traditional honey butter amazing.

There are only 4 ingredients in our Raspberry Honey Butter:

BUTTER: Butter is the main ingredient, so it’s important that you use the best! I used Plugrá® butter, which is a premium, chef-inspired variety that’s slow churned for extra creaminess.  Plugrá® is made with real milk from American dairy farms and is crafted without artificial ingredients or added hormones. I found both salted and unsalted Plugrá® butter in the dairy section of our local Smith’s grocery store. Try it! You’ll love the great flavor and creamy texture it lends to this raspberry honey butter.

HONEY: Use your favorite variety of local honey

RASPBERRY JAM: Seedless raspberry jam works best in this recipe to get that smooth, creamy texture

VANILLA EXTRACT: use either pure vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste

This recipe for Lemon Raspberry Fruit Pizza is sponsored by Krusteaz. All opinions are 100% mine. There is something about the combination of raspberry and lemon that is just so yummy! I have been making lemon everything these last few weeks because I am so excited that spring is finally here and now I’m craving everything citrus. And fruit. I absolutely love fruit and I love finding new ways to eat it!

My family loves fruit pizza and I usually make it with a regular sugar cookie crust. The last time I was making cookies with the Krusteaz Meyer Lemon Cookie mix, I started thinking about how yummy that would be as a crust for a fruit pizza and then of course it would be even more delicious with raspberries on it. Turns out I was right. It is that yummy. Actually it turned out even more delicious than I imagined. My husband ate one slice and then told me that he wanted to eat the whole fruit pizza.

The Krusteaz Meyer Lemon Cookie mix has so much lemon flavor and it tastes like real lemons! I love using a mix for the fruit pizza crust because it is so easy – all you have to do is add butter and an egg and bake it. I also love the decorative yellow sugar packet that comes in the box – it adds a little bit of decoration and sweetness too!

What kind of fruit do you put on fruit pizza?

This fruit pizza recipe just has raspberries with a raspberry glaze, but you can use any type of fruit that you want on fruit pizza. You can also skip the glaze or change the flavor to any Jello flavor you prefer! Fruit pizza is delicious with raspberries and raspberry glaze, but you can get creative and mix and match flavors as well. I love kiwi, pineapple, blueberries, grapes and blackberries on fruit pizza – there are no rules!

How to make Lemon Raspberry Fruit Pizza

Prepare the glaze by putting the water, sugar and cornstarch in a small saucepan and heating over medium heat until thick and clear. Add the Jello and stir until well combined. Set aside to cool completely. While the glaze is cooling, you can make the rest of the fruit pizza.

Place cookie mix, butter and egg in a mixing bowl and mix until well combined. Roll the dough onto a well greased 14” pizza pan. Sprinkle the enclosed sugar packet on top of the crust.

Bake at 350° for 12-14 minutes, until the edges begin to turn a light golden brown. Let the crust cool completely.

Prepare the cream layer by mixing the cream cheese, sour cream, vanilla and powdered sugar together until smooth. Spread on top of the cooled crust.

Arrange the raspberries on top of the cream layer and then pour the cooled glaze on top. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Can you make fruit pizza in advance?

Fruit pizza can be made the day before you are planning to serve it. If you try to store it much longer than that while fully assembled, it starts to get a little bit soggy.

To ensure that the pizza is as fresh as possible when serving it, you could make the different layers a couple of days in advance and then store them separately. The crust will stay good for about 2-3 days as long as you cover it well and the cream cheese mixture can be stored in the fridge for several days as well. You can also make the glaze several days in advance and keep it in the fridge, separate from the raspberries. Go ahead and assemble all of it just a couple of hours before serving and keep it in the refrigerator so that it can chill before serving.

Can you freeze fruit pizza?

The fully assembled Lemon Raspberry Fruit Pizza doesn’t freeze very well, but you can make the cookie crust in advance and freeze that for several weeks prior to assembly. The other layers can be made several days in advance and stored in the refrigerator.

Can you make fruit pizza without cream cheese?

You can make fruit pizza without cream cheese if you prefer to use something else for the middle layer. For many years, I just used Cool Whip as the creamy layer and piled fruit on top of that. You could use vanilla yogurt or even Greek yogurt would be wonderful for the middle layer.

Is fruit pizza healthy?

Fruit pizza is definitely more of a dessert than a health food, but there are ways to make it pretty healthy! The crust is pretty thin and then if you use vanilla Greek yogurt as your creamy layer, you are adding quite a bit of protein to the recipe. Pile on a ton of fresh fruit and skip the glaze and fruit pizza becomes a pretty healthy dessert option!

Khachapuri – Georgia (Cheese Bread) On My Mind by Gordon Ramsay

Khachapuri – Georgia (Cheese Bread) On My Mind

There’s no way to prove that corporate pizza chain
restaurants got the idea for stuffing their crusts with cheese from Khachapuri,
but that’s definitely the story I’m going with.

Nevertheless, this Georgian
cheese bread is such an amazing treat, it’s probably only a matter of time
before these things are being delivered all over the country, right along side
the usual pizza, garlic knots, and chicken wings.

While they do take a little bit of finesse to pull off at
home, the dough is very simple, and the pay off is well worth the effort. You
can obviously customize the cheese blend, but I strongly suggest that feta be part
of the equation. The stretchy mozzarella, and creamy Jack are nice, but they’re
not the most flavorful cheeses ever, which is why the sharper bite the feta
brings works so well.

Besides working with the wet, sticky dough, the only real
challenge here is not over cooking your eggs. In fact, I have it on good
authority that some folks don’t even place these back in the oven after the
eggs are introduced, but rather just stir the raw egg into the molten hot,
cheesy center, and “cook” it that way. That’s up to you, but the point is, we
want…we need, a runny yolk here. Anyway, since you can’t get this delivered
quite yet, I really do hope you give these gorgeous Khachapuri a try soon.
Enjoy!

Ingredients for 2 Khachapuri:

For the dough:

1/2 cup warm milk

1/3 cup warm water

1 package dry active yeast (2 teaspoons)

1 1/2 teaspoons sugar

2 teaspoons olive oil

2 cups all-purpose flour, plus about 1/4 to 1/2 cup extra for
final kneading

1 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (3/4 teaspoon fine salt)

For the cheese blend:

4 ounces mozzarella cheese

4 ounces Monterey Jack cheese

8 ounces feta cheese

For the rest:

1 tablespoon butter, cut in 4 slices

2 large eggs

sea salt for the top

cayenne, optional

– Bake at 475 F. for 15 minutes, fill with egg, and bake
another 3 or 4 minutes, until the egg is almost, but not quite set.
