Do you like to cook Martina Hamdy?

"When I lived with my mom I was a real landslide, I just thought about doing the essentials: I prepared the coffee and drained the pasta when it was ready, stop! Since I have lived alone, however, I have started to devote a lot of time to cooking: I like to experiment and try new recipes. When I manage to get a good result, I feel very satisfied ».

Who did you inherit the basics of cooking from?

Do you remember the first dish you prepared?

«I am a great lover of first courses so the first recipe I tried was that of gorgonzola gnocchi with walnuts. Unfortunately, the result did not come very close to what was desired. The mistake I had made? I had put too much cream on ».

You were born in Milan to an Apulian mother and an Egyptian father, Martina Hamdy do you like Egyptian cuisine?

“There are many dishes from the Egyptian culture that I like. In general, I love to taste ethnic dishes with totally different tastes. I live in Milan and very often I choose to dine varying from Indian to Ethiopian cuisine ».

Can you tell us some typical specialties of the land of your pa-
dre that you particularly love?

«Couscous is certainly a very tasty but complex dish that takes time to prepare. Another dish that I particularly love is hummus, based on tahini and chickpeas: it is a very good cream on canapés or simply to eat with celery or bread ".

What kind of cuisine do you like?

"At the top of the ranking is the Italian one, in my opinion the best in the world".

• Add the sauce to the pasta, bring to the heat and whisk for a few minutes, until everything is well blended.
