How to make Easy Skinny Oreo MilkshakesAbout This Skinny Oreo Milkshake

Unlike other milkshakes that are packed with fats and sugars, this Oreo milkshake is brought to you with about 70% less fat than the others! This means you can go back for that second glass and still feel great about your drink choices.

It’s as healthy as it is delicious and it’s a huge crowd pleaser with the family and kids!

Can I Use Any type of Milk?

Absolutely! If you want to make this drink healthier, dairy free, or even vegan- all you need to do is swap the milk for a different non dairy/vegan alternative. Soy milk, rice milk, or almond milk are all great choices! Although, if I had to choose, I’d pick almond milk because it’d complement the flavors well.

How to make Easy Skinny Oreo MilkshakesWhat Flavor Oreo Should I Use?

For this recipe, we used traditional cookies and cream Oreos. But, I like your style! Swapping them out for a different variety like peanut butter pie, or strawberry shortcake Oreos all sound like incredible ideas! Oh yum, now I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!

Skinny Oreo Milkshake Ingredients

-1 cup almond milk-  I regularly swap in chocolate almond milk, but really, any non-dairy milk works well

-3 Oreo cookies

-1 tbsp. instant vanilla sugar free pudding mix – helps to thicken the shake and add more sweet flavor. You can use chocolate instead!

-1 tsp. vanilla

-1 tsp. stevia- you can use a different sugar alternative like Erythritol!

-1+ cup of ice

In your blender, mix together all of the ingredients.

If you want the texture to be thicker, add more ice, or add milk to thin it out.

Serve and drink immediately. Enjoy!

Can I Double This Recipe?

Yes, of course, you can! Just make sure that your blender can handle all of the contents- otherwise I recommend making two batches.

How Do You Thicken a Milkshake?

There are a few different ways that you can thicken this milkshake. By adding in more vanilla pudding, you can thicken it. You can also add in more ice for an alternative option. The last idea is to actually add in some ice cream or frozen yogurt. While this might make it a little less healthy, you can opt for the healthier ice cream or ice cream alternative so the skinny Oreo shake isn’t completely undone.

Peppermint Oreo Poke Cake uses a cake mix, cookies & cream pudding, whipped cream, Oreos & peppermint candies for a deliciously festive holiday cake! Easy Christmas cake recipe with peppermint cookie flavors.Making this cookies and cream cake is easy, fun, and very low maintenance. It’s the perfect dessert to bring to the table this holiday season or to enjoy in your own home. With a cold-serve cake like this, add a side of hot chocolate and you have yourself a perfectly sweet evening! (See what I did there?)

What is a peppermint oreo poke cake?

A poke cake is a cake often baked in a larger pan (like a 9×13) and then literally poked with the back end of a wooden spoon before having jello or pudding poured and spread over the top. Topped off with whipped topping and other ingredients a poke cake is easy to assemble, moist, flavorful, and fun to both make and eat. This particular cake uses crushed peppermint candies and cookies and cream pudding to get a unique and wonderful flavor fit for the holidays ahead!

-Chocolate cake mix: Find your favorite boxed chocolate cake from the store, just make sure it’s 15.25 ounces as some boxes will be closer to 18 ounces in size and that might throw off the ingredient proportions.

-Water: You’ll need 1 1/4 cups of water to help bring the boxed cake mix to life.

-Vegetable oil: Giving us the needed fats to make our cake taste richer is 1/2 cups of vegetable oil.

-Eggs: We need 3 large eggs to work as the binder for this recipe and to hold the cake together.

-Instant pudding: We need a 4.2 ounce sized box of instant cookies and cream pudding mix. This will help us to get the cookies and cream flavor we want in every bite.

-Milk: We will need 2 cups of milk (preferably dairy milk) to help to get the pudding to set enough to use properly.

-Whipped topping: With 8 ounces of whipped topping spread over this poke cake we can cover the holes and add a creamy layer of yum!

-Oreo cookies: We want 6 Oreo cookies that have been crushed to sprinkle over the top.

-Peppermint Candies: We need 6-8 crushed peppermint candies to sprinkle on top of this poke cake for appearance and taste enhancement.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9×13 baking dish, set it aside.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, water, oil, and eggs until well mixed.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 22-25 minutes until a toothpick can be inserted and come out clean.

Remove from the oven and then let the cake cool.

Use the end of a wooden spoon to safely poke holes all over the cake.

In another mixing bowl, combine the pudding mix and the milk until thoroughly combined.

Let the pudding sit for 2-3 minutes.

Pour the pudding over the top of the cake, spreading it across the top and trying to get it into the holes.

Next, spread the whipped topping evenly over the top of the cake.

Sprinkle with crushed Oreos and peppermint candies.

Place the cake in the fridge and let chill for 4 hours before serving. Enjoy!

Peppermint Oreo Poke Cake

What can I use to poke holes in a poke cake?

You can use the back end of a wooden spoon or even a wooden skewer to create the deep holes in a poke cake. You want something smaller than the width of your finger that is capable of poking the cake at least 3/4th of the way through.

How long is a poke cake good for?

A poke cake lasts about 2 days covered in the fridge. For that reason, I recommend not making this cake more than a day in advance so that it’s still looking and tasting great when you want to serve it.

Can I freeze a poke cake?

Yes, poke cakes are great for freezing for later if you want to prep them in advance. I recommend waiting until after the pudding/jello has set before placing them in the freezer (well wrapped and covered of course). This will help to reduce time later because you just need to thaw and top with some whipped topping.

Easy OREO Popcorn is a dessert popcorn made in minutes with just 3 ingredients! Popcorn, white chocolate & Oreos combine for an amazing cookies & cream treat! It’s a must-have dessert for Oreo lovers!

Easy Oreo Popcorn recipePopcorn is such a quick and easy snack or dessert, depending on how you want to flavor it! This time around, we are going all out, Oreo lover! Of course, this Cookies and Cream Popcorn is right up there with all of my other delicious flavored popcorn recipes.

Flavored popcorn is a perfect potluck dessert- it is very cost effective, feeds a crowd, and is so simple to make. Once you start making flavored popcorn recipes, you are not going to want to stop!

Easy Oreo Popcorn recipe

Ingredients in OREO Popcorn

-Popcorn: Air popped popcorn is the best kind to use while making flavored popcorn recipes because it is straight up, unapologetic unbuttered popcorn. You’ll want unbuttered popcorn so the chocolate sticks to the popcorn and doesn’t just slide off. If you don’t have an air popper on hand- look for a microwave bag of the all natural, unbuttered popcorn.

-Oreos: We will want both Oreo crumbs and broken up whole cookies, so grab an entire package while you are at the store.

-White Chocolate: You can use white almond bark if you’d like, but white chocolate chips work just as well.

How to make Cookies and Cream Popcorn

Making Oreo popcorn is a really easy and simple process.

First, we will start with popped, unbuttered popcorn. Remove any un-popped kernels.

Next, cover the popcorn in melted white chocolate before tossing Oreo crumbs all over the chocolate covered popcorn.

Lastly, lay the popcorn out on some parchment paper, add some Oreo cookie pieces and then drizzle everything with white chocolate.

Allow for the white chocolate to harden before breaking into pieces and serving.

Servings: 18

Calories: 451kcal

Ingredients

  • 9 cups popped popcorn
  • 3/4 cup oreo cookie crumbs
  • 10 oreos broken into pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips divided

Instructions

  • Pop and measure the popped popcorn into a large bowl, removing any unpopped kernels. Place about 15 Oreo cookies in a quart sized bag and smash using a jar, the flat side of a meat tenderizer or a rolling pin. Set aside.

  • In a microwave safe bowl, melt 1 cup of the white chocolate for about 1 minute 15 seconds. Let chocolate sit for 2 minutes, then gently stir. If it’s not completely melted yet, return to the microwave in 15 second intervals, letting it sit for 1-2 minutes in between. Go slow- you don’t want to seize your chocolate!

  • Pour the white chocolate over the popcorn and stir to evenly coat the popcorn in chocolate.

  • Grab the bag of crushed Oreos and, holding the bag closed most of the way, sprinkle the oreo cookie crumbs & smallest pieces over the popcorn. Gently stir until the popcorn is coated in cookie crumbs.

  • Spread the popcorn out onto parchment paper and sprinkle with remaining Oreo pieces.

  • Melt the remaining 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips and then drizzle over the top of the popcorn.

  • Allow the chocolate to set up before serving.

How to easily remove un-popped Popcorn Kernels

My favorite way to do this is to pour your popped popcorn onto a cookie cooling rack. All of the big, popped popcorn will stay on top while all of the kernels will fall through the holes.

Just set your cookie cooling rack on top of a cookie sheet to catch all of the extra kernels. There is nothing worse than finding a hard kernel in your popcorn!

How to store dessert Popcorns

Storage is something that is so important when it comes to popcorn. If it is left in a bowl, uncovered, the popcorn will quickly become stale. Which we do not want! Don’t just leave it in a bowl! The best way to store your popcorn and keep it fresh is by putting it into large zip-top bags and removing as much air as possible from the top.
