One of the most exciting aspects about my recent blog makeover is my new partnership with Ziplist. Ziplist, if you don’t already know, is an online recipe organizer that allows you to clip recipes from anywhere on the web and save them to a personal online space where you can organize them, make and access shopping lists, and other useful stuff. All of my recipes going forward will now have both a print and a save recipe button, so whether you’re someone who needs to be able to hold (and splatter on) your recipes, or whether you like them virtual, you’ll be able to save and access them anytime you want.
For me personally the Recipe Clipper button is one of the best features of Ziplist. It’s just like a pin it button, and I find it really convenient to use it to grab recipes wherever I happen to be on the web, and save them in one secure spot so I can revisit them when I’m ready. They automatically get converted into an easy to read list of ingredients and list of instructions. Love that. When you sign in to Ziplist you’ll be able to drag this button to your browser toolbar, then you can grab directly from sites and blogs, or Pinterest. Here on TVFGI you can also use the Save Recipe button next to my recipes to save them to your box.
Or maybe you’re at the store, planning to pick up everything you need for, lets say, Irish Stew, when you happen to notice a package of Thai rice noodles and you remember that Spicy Pad Thai recipe you’ve been wanting to try. With Ziplist you can make a quick switch and pick up what you need, right from the Asian foods aisle. To me this is huge because I’m always coming home without one key ingredient.
You can easily sign up with ziplist by clicking on the link at the top of my blog. There is a lot to explore once you do, but it can be as elaborate or as simple as you want it to be. If you do try it I’d love to get your feedback. I think it’s a handy feature, if only for corralling all those stray recipes into one neat spot.
