Italian Cream Soda Recipe made with sweet syrups, cream and club soda. Delicious & festive drinks for any special occasion!

Italian Cream Soda Recipe is a family favorite at our house. We keep syrups on hand and my kids get so excited when we pull them out to make these tasty treats. There are several brands of syrup that work for this recipe. It’s also a lot easier to find the syrups than it used to be! Your grocery store will likely have at least a few flavors in the coffee section as well as the mixed drink section. Home goods stores also tend to carry several flavors in their gourmet kitchen items sections. You can also find them for a great price on Amazon.

Measure out about 3 TBSP Torani syrup and pour over the soda. You’re welcome to mix flavors as well! Raspberry and Vanilla syrups mix well, as do Strawberry and Kiwi.

Add 1-2 TBSP Half & Half to the soda/syrup mixture. Top each glass with whipped cream and a cherry, as well as a cute straw to stir with prior to drinking.

GINGERBREAD COOKIE BITES – Butter with a Side of Bread by Gordon Ramsay

The simplest gingerbread cookie recipe ever! Chewy, bite-sized gingerbread cookies that take a fraction of the time to make! They’re perfect for holiday parties and get-togethers!

This recipe for Easy Gingerbread Cookie Bites is sponsored by Krusteaz. All opinions are 100% mine. Our family adores making gingerbread during Christmas time but I have to admit, as a mom, I often dread the task. I had the inspiration to make these Gingerbread Bites instead and oh my word, they’re amazing! I’ve made 3 batches so far this year and we still have almost 2 weeks before Christmas. Just a warning though: they tend to disappear fast!

Gingerbread Cookie Mix

Krusteaz Gingerbread Cookie Mix makes making gingerbread so simple & fast. The mix goes together with just 1 egg and a stick of softened butter. I had the pan of dough in the freezer in under 10 minutes! No scooping, rolling or cutting with cookie cutters either.

I love that Krusteaz Gingerbread Cookie Mix has that fantastic, spicy gingerbread flavor. The texture of the cookies is soft and chewy on the inside with slightly crispy edges. My family loves them!

To make my recipe for Gingerbread Cookie Bites, you’ll first need to mix up the dough. Once the dough is mixed, transfer the dough to an 8×8 pan lined in wax paper, parchment paper or plastic wrap. Press the dough down evenly into the pan. Sprinkle the top with holiday sprinkles. I find smaller sprinkles work best. I used nonpareils, the tiny little balls in Christmas colors.

Place the pan of dough into the freezer for 20 minutes. Once the time’s up, pull it out of the freezer and gently lift the dough out using the sides of the plastic wrap or wax paper you used to line the pan.

They're perfect for holiday parties and get-togethers!Next you’ll cut the dough into small squares.I used a large knife to cut the dough into 1/2″ squares- the entire process took about 2 minutes. I placed a ruler along the edge of the dough to guide my cuts which helped tremendously.

Transfer the bites to a parchment lined baking sheet. Since the bites are so small, you can fill the pan, leaving just an inch between each bite. You’ll fill a 12×16 cookie sheet 3 times to bake all 110 bites. I used both the top and bottom rack of my oven, baking the cookies for 7 minutes. The entire baking process was done in 15 minutes!

Gingerbread Cookie Bites cool quickly and are ready to serve in under 10 minutes after baking. These will definitely be a new holiday tradition for us!

Three kitchen items really help you make the best Christmas cookies ever! I actually use these items in nearly every cookie recipe I make, as well as several other types of recipes, so they’re quite versatile. First, I line my cookie sheets with a piece of parchment paper. They’re sold in sizes that fit a 12×16 cookie sheet perfectly and enable to cookies to bake well without sticking- and no mess from spraying oil on the cookie sheets!

The second item is a KitchenAid mixer. I love mine! I have a Bosch as well but I find I use my KitchenAid for cookies. There is a cookie paddle that comes with every mixer that you attach to the top of the mixer. They’re easy to use and help you mix the ingredients uniformly. I also use the metal whisk attachment in this recipe to make the frosting. It whips it up super fast! Add this to your wish list because it’s one of my all-time used small appliances ever!

I baked these Gingerbread Cookie Bites for 7 minutes at 350 degree F oven. The texture of the cookies is soft and chewy on the inside with slightly crispy edges.

What gives gingerbread that classic taste?

Here are the ingredients that give gingerbread cookies that traditional, distinct gingerbread taste. One of the most classic gingerbread ingredients is molasses, which is a thick, dark brown syrup that’s very sweet. You’ll also add a combination of spices like cinnamon, ground cloves, nutmeg, allspice and of course, ground ginger. Each recipe is a little different, so I highly recommend trying many until you find one that suits your tastes.

How do you soften butter?

I like to soften butter by using the defrost function on my microwave. If you need the full 1/2 cup cube of butter, you can leave it in the paper wrapper, otherwise, place the amount of butter you need in a glass or porcelain bowl. I use the lowest defrost setting on my microwave and just let it run for 20 seconds. Check the butter and see how soft it is by pressing it with a rubber scraper. If it is still not soft to the touch, meaning it doesn’t indent when you press into it, let it warm for another 5-10 seconds. Watch it closely! Butter softens very quickly.

Can gingerbread cookies be frozen?

Yes, you can freeze Gingerbread cookies in an airtight container for up to 1 month. Let the cookies thaw on a countertop before enjoying. You can also freeze gingerbread cookie dough then defrost and bake the cookies later on, so you have that fresh from the oven cookie taste!

Easy appetizer recipes with few ingredients and minimal prep time are exactly what you need for any party! Fantastic collection of the BEST simple appetizer recipes ever!

Here are our most popular appetizer recipes~ perfect for casual get togethers and game day! ENJOY!

How to keep appetizers warm?

I serve many of my appetizers on a ceramic or porcelain plate or tray that I heated in the microwave. Ceramic and porcelain retain heat well, so if you plate your appetizer hot, they’ll stay warm for around 15-20 minutes, which is usually more than enough time since they tend to get eaten quickly! If it’s a casual get together, I don’t mind serving certain appetizers in a muffin tray. The muffin tray of course wraps the food and helps them stay warm as a result.

What are heavy Appetizers?

Heavy appetizers (or hearty appetizers) mean hot or cold appetizers that would be enough for a meal: skewers of shrimp or meat; wings; pizza pinwheels; roll-ups or wraps; meatballs; best homemade chicken strips– you get the picture. You’d be too full to have a regular meal if you tasted all of them!

Texas Caviar combines delicious fresh vegetables with an amazing Italian dressing…plus you get the added crunch of tortilla chips in the mix!

Texas Caviar…if you don’t know what that is, you can thank me for blessing your life with it. The name sounds odd, I know. The first few times I heard how amazing it was, I didn’t really listen because ummm… I don’t want to try caviar. Sounds pricey. And slimy.

Then I had it at a potluck and oh how my attitude changed. It has nothing to do with actual caviar, really it’s just a play on words in an attempt to describe a ridiculously easy appetizer that is absolutely amazing! Honestly, try it. Just be prepared to ditch the chips and grab some other utensil that allows you to eat more, faster. {Wait, is it just me?!}

This Texas Caviar version has an added ingredient that’s not normally found in other versions: avocado. Don’t leave it out. In my opinion it takes the dish from good to stellar. Other versions also use Black Eyed Peas, but I think they’re harder to find and cost more than regular beans. So I use a regular cans of beans instead and you know what? It tastes the same! See The Best Texas Caviar recipe here!

This Cheese and Garlic Crack Bread is EPIC! “Crack bread” is an appropriate name for this because it’s garlic bread – on crack! It’s basically a cheesy garlic bread, but so much more delicious!!  Cheese, garlic and bread – you can’t go wrong. This is a great cost effective FUN centerpiece for your next gathering!

If you haven’t tried this Cheese and Garlic Crack Bread before, let me warn you now: garlic bread will never be the same again. It’s like a pull apart bread, but tastes like garlic bread plus you have the mozzarella cheese which stretches wonderfully as you pull bits off. This is INSANELY delicious. I especially love the way the bread is cut into diamond shapes so you can tear bite size pieces off. Every piece is garlicky and buttery and oh-so-cheesy. This is one the kids go NUTS over, don’t say I didn’t warn you! And grown ups turn into little kids when they get stuck into this. I made this for a dinner and let me tell you, it took 5 hands about 30 seconds to demolish this!

As you know, my favorite part about any holiday (after the meaningful stuff like family and togetherness, etc.) is the food. Actually, my favorite part of any given day just might be the food, but hey, to each her own. The Christmas season is especially fun because there are all sorts of opportunities for delicious little snacks that you generally don’t eat all year long. I mean, we’ve already gone through more cheeseballs in the past three weeks than we do for the entire rest of the year, and don’t even get me started on Lil’ Smokies! Anyway, I wanted to make a festive, but still easy, holiday snack you could take to any party, so I came up with these Christmas tree spinach dip breadsticks.

You can always adapt this recipe for whatever holiday you’re celebrating! See the recipe and substitutions for other holidays here!
