It’s official. The sun forgot where Germany is. It’s been one week since we put up our giant trampoline and we were only able to use it one day. And it wasn’t even that nice of a day- the sun was splintering through the clouds, but we were all still decked out in sweatpants and hoodies. Isn’t it almost June? The rain and the clouds are killing me. I don’t know if I’d make it in Seattle.
There was one day in particular where is was just cats-and-dogs-pouring. That was the day my daughter insisted beyond anything else that she must go on the trampoline. She whined and cried at the glass french doors in the back long enough that I finally gave in, “You want to jump on the trampoline? Go ahead!” I opened the doors up and she walked right out into a down pour. I expected her to freak out and come right back in. Nope. She kept going right to the trampoline like there was no rain! Then it happened- it was on the second rung of the ladder up the trampoline- she started screaming. Like all of a sudden she realized she was soaked in the sky was showering her with water. And wouldn’t you know, as soon as we got her back inside she turned around and said, “I want to go on the trampoline.” Lesson not learned. Haha kids are too silly.
