Apple Pie Smoothie

I miss you guys! 16 days… I’m not counting or anything… 16 days left of my general medicine rotation, and then I will have my weekends back and more kitchen time!! It has been so hard being away from my kitchen this long, and I still have a few weeks to go. These past few weeks have been filled with long, exhausting days at the hospital, and I haven’t seen very much sunlight (I get there when it is dark and leave when it is dark). Living in San Francisco, I am already as white as a ghost, so this no-sunlight-period thing definitely isn’t helping. When I am at home, I try to eat as healthy as I can. I have been learning how to throw together some quick and healthy salads filled with a lot of vegetables, and making smoothies to take with me on-the-go. My new favorite is this apple pie smoothie, which uses a fresh apple and some spices. It tastes like apple pie in a glass! You know what they say, an apple a day keeps the doctor away…
