RASPBERRY VANILLA JELLO SALAD – Butter with a Side of Bread by Gordon Ramsay

Raspberry Vanilla Jello Salad is one of the easiest recipes you will ever make and it

Raspberry Vanilla Jello Salad is one of the easiest recipes you will ever make and it is perfect as a side dish or even a dessert. This recipe only requires 4 ingredients and 5 minutes to make and then it is immediately ready to serve!

Raspberry Vanilla Jello Salad is simply amazing! I just recently found this jello salad recipe and LOVE it!  It only has 4 ingredients and it literally takes just a couple of minutes to make. It’s absolutely the easiest (and fastest!) jello salad recipe you will ever make! Not only that, but it can be eaten immediately after preparing (or saved for later!)…and it’s delicious too! As a matter of fact, the recipe tastes wonderful minutes after making it, but I actually prefer to eat this the next day because the raspberry flavor gets to be a bit stronger and mixed in with the rest of the salad better.

What berries can you use in our JELLO SALAD?

My family loves raspberries the best in this recipe, but I have also tried it with mixed berries, blackberries, blueberries – one reader gave me the idea of using peaches and I created this version of the salad as a result! I usually use frozen fruit because I keep quite a bit of it on hand, but you can definitely use fresh fruit as well.

You can even mix a few different kinds of fruit together. I think raspberries and peaches would be wonderful together! I have even added bananas to the salad right before serving and that adds a wonderful flavor as well.

Where do you serve Jello Salad?

Raspberry Vanilla Jello Salad makes for a great side dish to take to a potluck, but is sweet enough that it could work as a dessert also. I have used this recipe on multiple occasions when I needed to whip something up quickly to take somewhere, and it has always been a HUGE hit with adults and kids alike. I love that this recipe is cool and refreshing in the summer, but also is a family favorite at Thanksgiving, Christmas and even Valentine’s Day – it works for pretty much any holiday! You’ll love having this convenient and mouthwatering recipe in your collection!

Raspberry Vanilla Jello Salad is one of the easiest recipes you will ever make and it's perfect as a side dish or even dessert!

Ingredients in Raspberry Vanilla Jello Salad

  • 1 box (5.1 oz) instant vanilla pudding
  • 32 oz. container vanilla yogurt
  • 8 oz. container Cool Whip (thawed)
  • 1 pkg. frozen raspberries (12 oz)

How to make Raspberry Vanilla Jello Salad

  1. In a large bowl, combine the pudding mix and the vanilla yogurt, stirring until well mixed.
  2. Fold Cool Whip into the mixture. (You can use a spatula or a whisk!)
  3. Lastly, fold in the raspberries.  I had set mine out for about 10 minutes before making the salad, but you can put them in frozen and they will thaw very quickly so you can serve the salad right after mixing.
  4. If you don’t serve the salad immediately, the raspberries will thaw more and the juices will add a raspberry flavor to the entire mixture – I like it both ways!

Ingredients

  • 1 box 5.1 oz instant vanilla pudding
  • 32 oz. container vanilla yogurt
  • 8 oz. container Cool Whip thawed
  • 1 pkg. frozen raspberries

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the pudding mix and the vanilla yogurt, stirring until well mixed.

  2. Fold Cool Whip into the mixture. (You can use a spatula or a whisk!)

  3. Lastly, fold in the raspberries. Can you replace the Cool Whip in Jello Salad?

If you can’t find Cool Whip where you live or you prefer not to use it in recipes, you can use stabilized whipped cream instead. If you just use regular whipped cream, the consistency will be too light and the cream will not hold up very well when mixed into the jello salad. It’s very simple to make your own stabilized whipped cream and it just takes a few minutes!

How do you make stabilized whipped cream?

To make stabilized whipped cream, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 4 ounces of cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream.
  1. Beat the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and vanilla until soft and smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the whipping cream just until soft peaks form.
  3. Add the cream cheese mixture to the whipped cream and beat until stiff peaks are formed. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.

A little tip for making whipped cream faster. Use a metal bowl for whipping the cream and place the bowl in the freezer for about 30 minutes before you make the whipped cream. This will significantly decrease the amount of time that you will need to beat the whipped cream – the process will go much faster!

How do you store Jello Salad?

This particular jello salad recipe stores very well in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days, but is not ideal for freezing. There really is no need to freeze this recipe because you can make it so quickly! I usually make this jello salad the day before I am planning to serve it, because I like the way that the raspberry flavor becomes stronger and spreads throughout the salad more. I have also served the salad just a few minutes after making it and it is still delicious!

Can you change the flavor of the Raspberry Vanilla Jello Salad?

It is very easy to change the flavor of the jello salad with a few swaps. The ingredients are very basic but you can change them up to get a slightly different flavor. As mentioned before, you can definitely swap out the berries although I do prefer raspberries or blueberries. These are fruits that are easily found frozen and they thaw well.

You can also very easily swap out the flavor of yogurt in the recipe. You can replace all or part of the vanilla yogurt with lemon yogurt, raspberry yogurt, or any other flavor that goes well with the berries that you have chosen.

One more swap that is easy to do is to swap out the pudding mix that you use. Two ideal substitutes are lemon pudding or cheesecake pudding, especially if using raspberries. Who doesn’t love raspberry and lemon together, or raspberry and cheesecake?!

The best Jello recipes ever, all gathered in one place! Jello recipes for holidays, parties, dessert and more. We cover jello salad recipes, jello cakes and cookies and layered jello desserts. Fun, tasty & simple jello recipes for any occasion.

We’ve been creating recipes for this site for over 5 years now and I realized something the other day. We really love Jello. Seriously- we have a ton of jello recipes! So I thought I’d gather them all in one place and feature our very favorites.

Why won’t my Jello set?

In order for jello to set, it has to be mixed according to package directions and then chilled. If your jello didn’t set, you likely added too much water, added fruit with too high of water content or are attempting to make it set in a location other than the refrigerator. You can attempt to fix jello by combining 1 cup boiling water with a small 3 oz box of jello in the same flavor. Whisk until jello is dissolved, then stir into your not-set jello recipe. Refrigerate until set. On the side of the box of Jello it gives fruit addition suggestions. I’ve found that I can use fruit even they don’t recommend if I simply decrease the water by 1/2 cup in my recipe.

What Jello flavors are there?

There are quite a few Jello flavors with special flavors being released often. I find our local Walmart store carries the most variety of Jello. Here are all the flavors of jello: Apricot, Berry Blue, Black Cherry, Blackberry, Blackberry Fusion, Cherry, Cherry Lemonade, Concord Grape, Cotton Candy, Fruit Punch, Grape, Green Apple, Lemon, Lemon-Lime, Lime, Mango, Margarita, Melon Fusion, Orange, Peach, Pineapple, Raspberry, Strawberry, Strawberry-Banana, Tropical Fusion, and Watermelon.

Is Jello gluten free?

Jello does not contain any gluten in the ingredients, so it can be considered gluten-free. However, Jello, which is manufactured by Kraft, is not considered “Certified Gluten Free” meaning that it’s made in a facility that can contain trace amounts of gluten.

This snack is a fun one that is super kid friendly and easy to make. Even sweeter, it only takes 3 ingredients (gelatin, marshmallows and water)! This classy dessert looks fancy, but it’s actually very simple to make. You just save part of the Jello mix to blend with your whipped topping, so you have pink strawberry whip to layer on top of the chilled Jello. And because you set the glasses on an angle to chill, you end up with cool diagonal layers that look much more spiffy than flat ones. You can top it with fresh strawberries or, if you like, just put a dollop of plain Cool Whip on top. Either way, it’s a romantic little dessert. You can find the easy jello parfait recipe here.

How do you make jello layers?

Making Jello layers is much more simple than it seems, it just takes some time. You prepare your bottom layer first, by dissolving the package in boiling water, stirring in cold water, and putting it in the pan or container of your choosing. You refrigerate it until it’s almost set, usually about 45 minutes. Next you prepare your next layer the same way and gently spoon it over the first layer, then refrigerate for 45 minutes. You repeat until you have all the layers you desire.

Can Jello melt?

Yes, jello can melt. It loses it’s firmness slowly at room temperature and quickly on hot days. It melts completely at 95 degrees.

Where do you buy Jello?

You can usually buy Jello at your local grocery store, like Walmart, Kroger or Target. I am able to find the largest variety of jello at Walmart. Jello is almost always in the baking aisle. It commonly found around cookie mixes, cake mixes, and brownie mixes. You can also buy Jello online, if you’d prefer.

How long does it take for Jello to set?

Basic jello will set in about 3-4 hours. If you’re using jello for a salad or other type of recipe, it will likely set in 2-4 hours. Thin layers of jello set in about 2 hours.

GLOW-IN-THE-DARK JELL-O!

(Man, that’s a lot of hyphenated words, huh?)

Since Halloween is still a few weeks away, you have plenty of time to prepare! In my case, I needed a treat for a party with a “light” theme. Either way (not that you need an excuse), this is a great little easy treat with an added bonus!

^^ See? All subtle and unassuming, and then BAM! It glows in the dark! Magic, people. Magic!

Glow-in-the-Dark Jell-o
(Original recipe found here.)
– 2 C boiling water
– 2 C tonic water
– 2 packages lime Jell-O (I hear lime glows best)
– Whipping cream and sprinkles (for topping)
– Jars or clear cups
– Black light
Boil water and pour into bowl with Jell-O powder. Stir with whisk for 2 minutes. Add tonic water and let sit until bubbles rest. Pour desired amount into containers (this makes about 8 servings). Let set in refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Top with whipping cream and sprinkles. Serve in the dark under black light.
