Pastry Pizza

Love jam? Chocolate? Nutella?  Then this dessert is for you.  Or breakfast! Mmmm, I can see this at my net brunch!  You can fill it with whatever your heart desires! I used lingonberry jam because I had a jar I wanted to try out.  I think a s’mores filling would also be fabulous. A nice dusting of powdered sugar really pushes this dessert over the edge!  Thanks to Oh, Bite It for this winning treat! Love that girl!

Pastry Pizza

1 package of Pillsbury Pie Crust (it comes with 2 crusts per package)

Filling of your choice-I used 1/2 jar Lingonberry jam.  Use jam, Nutella, Peanut Butter, Chocolate, etc.

Powdered Sugar for Topping

1 egg mixed with a drop of water to make egg wash

1-2 Tablespoons granulated sugar

one round Pizza pan

Directions

Unroll first crust onto pizza pan. Spread on topping of your choice but not too close to the edge.  Unroll second crust on top and crimp the edges to form the pizza.  Brush with the egg wash and sprinkle on the 2T. sugar.  Bake at 350 20-25 minutes until golden brown.  (Next time I would bake it at 375 for a shorter time.) Let cool a few minutes and then heavily dust with powdered sugar!
