It is a typical dish that comes directly from Hawaii, served in a bowl (the bowl) and composed of a base of rice, raw fish in cubes (pokè that is cut into cubes) and exotic fruits.

A kind of mixed salad to be composed at will where rice is always placed at the base covered with fruit, vegetables, meat or fish.

This dish is also becoming popular in Italy. It represents a truly balanced meal, to be composed as you like with the ingredients you have at home. An ideal solution for your lunch break in the office or university.

How to compose the Pokè bowl

To compose the bowl keep in mind the subdivision of the various macronutrients: a base of rice or cereals, a part of proteins (raw or cooked fish, or meat), a part of vegetables (cabbage, corn, salad, onion, fennel, edamame).

If you don't like raw fish (which must be blast chilled before being consumed) you can very well compose the Pokè bowl with cooked fish, or meat, or with the ingredients you like best, always respecting the proportion between carbohydrates, proteins and vegetables. .

The recipe for our Poke Bowl is an all-Italian version, it consists of rice, canned tuna, green salad, tomatoes, fresh onion and mozzarella. All seasoned with excellent extra virgin olive oil.
